Konu Özeti
Bu konu, eczane, hastane ve randevu gibi hizmetleri kullanırken ihtiyaç duyacağın kelimeleri, kalıpları ve dilbilgisi yapılarını kapsar. Hasta olduğunu anlatmak, tavsiye istemek ve kibarca yardım talep etmek günlük hayatta çok işe yarar. Modal fiiller (should, must, have to) ve kibar istek kalıpları bu konunun merkezindedir. Konuyu bitirdiğinde sağlık ve kamu hizmetlerinde kendini İngilizce ifade edebileceksin.

Hizmet alırken sık kullanılan temel kelimeleri anlamlarıyla öğren ve her birini kısa bir cümle içinde kullanmaya çalış.

- have a headache / a fever / a sore throat: baş ağrısı / ateş / boğaz ağrısı çekmek

- see a doctor: doktora görünmek
- get better: iyileşmek
- be on duty: nöbetçi olmak (nöbetçi eczane: duty pharmacy)
Modal fiiller, hizmet alırken tavsiye, zorunluluk ve yasak anlatmak için kullanılır. Fiilin yanında her zaman V1 (yalın hali) gelir.

Could you tell me + where/what/when + özne + fiil ...? (dolaylı soru: düz cümle sırası)
Dolaylı soru kalıbında yardımcı fiil kullanılmaz. 'Could you tell me where the hospital is?' doğrudur; 'where is the hospital' sırası ise bu kalıpta yanlıştır.
