Question Tags (Soru Ekleri) – Sınıf Hayatı ve Öğrenme

Konu Özeti

Question tag, cümlenin sonuna eklenen kısa soru parçasıdır. Konuşmada bilgiyi doğrulatmak, onay istemek veya karşındakinin fikrini öğrenmek için kullanılır. Bu notta tag'lerin yapısını, özel durumlarını ve tonlamanın anlamı nasıl değiştirdiğini öğreneceksin. Sınıf hayatı ve öğrenme konulu örneklerle konuyu pekiştireceksin.

Temel Kavramlar

Olumlu cümle + olumsuz tag | Olumsuz cümle + olumlu tag

• Tag, cümledeki yardımcı fiili (am/is/are, do/does/did, have/has, will, can vb.) kullanır.
• Tag'de özne zamire çevrilir: Ali → he, the students → they.
• Olumsuz tag kısaltılır: don't, isn't, can't, won't.
• Present simple'da do/does, past simple'da did kullanılır; fiil tekrar edilmez.

Tonlama anlamı değiştirir. Ses yükselirse (↗) gerçekten soru sorulur ve cevap bilinmez. Ses düşerse (↘) konuşan cevaptan emindir, sadece onay ister.

• Yükselen: You haven't got a pen, have you? ↗ (Bilmiyorum, soruyorum.)
• Düşen: It's an easy exam, isn't it? ↘ (Biliyorum, onay istiyorum.)

Özel Durumlar

• I am ... → aren't I? (I am late, aren't I?) Olumsuz hali: I am not ... → am I? (I am not late, am I?)
• Let's ... → shall we? (Let's study together, shall we?)
• Emir cümlesi → will you? (Open the window, will you?)
• There is/are ... → isn't there? / aren't there? (There are many books, aren't there?)
• Everyone, someone, nobody gibi sözcüklerde tag'de they kullanılır: Everyone is ready, aren't they?
• Nobody, never, hardly, seldom gibi olumsuz anlamlı sözcükler cümleyi olumsuz yapar, tag olumlu olur: Nobody came, did they? She never cheats, does she?

Sık yapılan hata: Olumsuz cümlede olumsuz tag kullanmak. Yanlış: He doesn't like maths, doesn't he? Doğru: He doesn't like maths, does he?
