Konu Özeti
Question tag, cümlenin sonuna eklenen kısa bir sorudur. Bir bilgiyi doğrulatmak ya da karşındakinin fikrini teyit etmek için kullanılır. Türkçedeki ', değil mi?' yapısına benzer. Bu konuda Present Progressive ve Simple Present zamanlarında tag yapısını öğreneceksin. Ünite temasında okul hayatı ve günlük ders rutinleri örnek alınır.
Temel Kavramlar
Tag, bir yardımcı fiil ile özne zamirinden oluşur. Tag'in yapısı cümlenin zamanına ve olumlu ya da olumsuz olmasına göre değişir.
- Olumlu cümle, olumsuz tag: You study every day, don't you?
- Olumsuz cümle, olumlu tag: She isn't reading, is she?
- Olumsuz tag genellikle kısaltılmış olur: don't, doesn't, isn't, aren't.
- Tag'deki özne zamirdir: Tom → he, my friends → they, the class → it.
- Tag'deki yardımcı fiil, cümledeki zamana uyar: am/is/are ya da do/does.
Simple Present için tag:

Simple Present: olumlu cümle, don't/doesn't + özne? | olumsuz cümle, do/does + özne?
Present Progressive için tag:

Present Progressive: am/is/are + fiil-ing, aren't/isn't + özne? | isn't/aren't + fiil-ing, is/are + özne?
Dikkat: 'I am' cümlesinin tag'i 'amn't I' değildir; doğrusu 'aren't I?' şeklindedir. Ayrıca özneyi tag'de tekrar ederken isim kullanılmaz: 'Tom is sleeping, isn't Tom?' yanlış, 'isn't he?' doğrudur.
