Konu Özeti
Bu konuda iki şeyi ya da kişiyi karşılaştırmayı ve en üstün ya da en az olanı anlatmayı öğreneceksin. Sıfatlara -er ve -est eklemek ya da more ve most kullanmak karşılaştırma yapmanın temel yollarıdır. Eşitlik için as ... as, eksiklik için less ya da not as ... as yapıları kullanılır. Bu yapıları spor ve oyunlar hakkında tercihini ve nedenini söylemek için de kullanacaksın.
Temel Kavramlar
Karşılaştırma derecesi iki şey arasındaki farkı anlatır. Üstünlük derecesi ise üç veya daha fazla şey arasındaki en üst ya da en alt durumu anlatır. Hangi sıfatın hangi yolla karşılaştırıldığını aşağıdaki tablodan takip edebilirsin.

A + be + the + superlative + (in/of ...)
A + be + as + adj + as + B
- as + adj + as: eşitlik. Football is as popular as basketball.
- not as + adj + as: eşit değil. Chess is not as noisy as football.
- less + adj + than: daha az. Chess is less dangerous than rock climbing.
- the least + adj: en az. Walking is the least tiring sport.
- Tercih kalıpları: Which do you prefer, A or B? – I prefer A to B. I like A better than B because it is more relaxing.
Sık yapılan hata: 'more faster' ya da 'the most easiest' yanlıştır. Kısa sıfatta -er ve -est kullanılır, uzun sıfatta more ve most; ikisi birlikte kullanılmaz. Doğru: faster, the easiest.
Karşılaştırma paragrafında önce konu cümlesini yaz, sonra 2–3 karşılaştırma yap ve and, but, however, also gibi bağlaçlarla bağla. Kişisel görüşünü because ile neden vererek bitir. Örnek: My bike is faster than my brother's bike. It is also lighter, but it is more expensive.
